What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a philosophy of treatment which sees a dynamic relationship between the structure of the body and its function.
Dr A T Still (1828-1917) an American medical doctor and the founder of Osteopathy, saw the body as self-maintaining and self-regulating but recognised that the body’s equilibrium could be disturbed by external factors including, but not limited to, injuries, occupationally induced strain and incorrect posture
Holistic Care
Rather than only addressing the symptoms osteopaths focus on the whole body, investigating whether associated areas away from the complaint and old injuries are a factor.
I engineer my sessions to incorporate a thorough questionnaire and assessment, paired with over 10 years of refining my diagnostic skillset I’m able to delve deeper into the causation in the aim to provide understanding and a long term solution to manage your issue.
I have longer duration consultations to ensure we have adequate time together to really understand what will create the best short and long term health outcome.
